“Street Clothes Classes” Come as you are, no sweating so you can get back to work ready to go and not be stinky. 30 minute courses are designed to focus on real self-defense techniques, NOT Hollywood junk that looks cool.

At Top Defense & Fitness, our instructors/coaches are either current fighters or former fighters. Some have been ranked nationally and internationally!

Rob Hunt (General Manager/Instructor & Competitor) 48 Years Experience 

Rob (Owner of TDF Gym) started his training at age 5 and competing at age 6 under his father, Gerald Hunt, who was a Golden Gloves Boxing Champ, Wrestler and Kempo Karate practitioner. He wrestled all through high school and 46 years later still competes in martial arts. His journey was further enriched by various masters in different martial arts disciplines, including “Old school TaeKwonDo” under Paul Dicks and Master Chong, Shorinji Kempo and Kyu Shin Ryu (Kempo) under Master Gary Conors, Bo-Ka-Jitsu Jitsu (a fusion of Boxing, Karate, Shotokan Karate, and Japanese Jujitsu) under Master Daniel T. Lee and John “Bangon Langon” (Master Lee has mentored Rob for over 39 years), lastly Chiryoku under Grand Master Brent Undhjem who has coached seven world champion fighters.

Jonathan Semetko (Director of Programs/Instructor & Competitor) 39 Years Experience 

Jon is a lifelong martial arts student, beginning his studies at age 7; training Judo, Tae Kwon Do, and Hapkido at a number of dojo and wrestling as a youth. He achieved All State-Honorable Mention, in wrestling under the Michigan High School Athletic Association, in March of 2000. Jon has continued to train, coach, and compete in Martial Arts since that time.

Jordan has been wrestling for a total of 10 years starting in youth wrestling when he was 7 years old. Jordan’s accomplishments as a wrestler were 4 time regional participant including a 2nd place finish and a 3rd place finish. Jordan also competed in the state tournament including a 6th place finish as a senior. Jordan also competed in freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling were he competed in the northwest regional tournament. Jordan also has experience in boxing, kick boxing, and jiu jitsu while also having a good knowledge of strength and conditioning and nutrition.
